Though you might be tempted to think it is already upon us, judging by the weather in Idaho lately.  About 16" of snow in 24 hours, and then sheets of rain to turn it all to slush.
Here you can see the beauty created by the storm before the rain came. I have always been awestruck at the incredible architecture of bare trees revealed by the highlighting of fresh snow.
